The team
Established in 2015, Dahab Stars brings together a team with many years' experience of working at watersports centres around Dahab. Whether you are having tuition, are hiring kit, or are storing your own kit at the centre, we are here to make sure you have the best time on and off the water.
We offer all levels of RYA and VDWS certified windsurfing tuition, plus wing-foiling, kitesurfing and other activities. We offer tuition in Arabic, English, German, Italian, French, Ukranian and Russian.
Whether you want beginner lessons, to perfect advanced freestyle moves, or just blast around getting your planning technique just right, we can meet your needs.
Ahmed Dawood
Centre Manager and Advanced RYA instructor. Before setting up Dahab Stars, Ahmed was the Egyptian Manager for Club Vass when they ran Club Dahab from our current centre at the Ganet Sinai Hotel.
With a passion for freestyle, Ahmed has been a windsurf instructor for over 20 years and instructs all levels.
Salama Mohammed
Salama is an Advanced RYA Instructor with over 20 years' experience of instructing windsurfing in Dahab and one of the first to instruct kiting and wing foil. He instructs all levels.
On the water, Salama is a local legend and one of the best freestyle windsurfers in Dahab.
Kamal Lagratay
Kamal brings Italian style to the centre! He is a VDWS instructor for wingfoiling and kiting with over ten years' experience.
Agamy Ibrahim
Agamy brings many years' experience of instructing windsurfing in Dahab. He instructs at all levels but specializes in getting people windsurfing for the first time.
Timo Elony
Timo has been a windsurfing and kiting instructor for many years.
He is also an expert rock climber and offers trips and courses in Dahab for sports climbing and bouldering through his own company Red Sea Rock. He has just published the first guide book to climbing in the Sinai.

Arafat Abu Yasser
Arafat is our newest member of the team and just learning to windsurf himself. As well as being one of our safety boat drivers, Arafat takes care of our guests on the beach to make sure that you always have the right equipment ready to go.
